FYI
Interesting article about how Covid-19 s affects smell and taste.
I had mentioned in a previous post about how, unlike other coronavirus infections which more often than not permanently impact on smell, Covid-19 seems to impact less severely. This article explains why.

In a nutshell, Covid-19 attaches to the ACE-2 receptors, which the nerves responsible for smell do not possess. Their โ€œsupportingโ€ cells do. Other coronavirus infections directly attack the nerves, which are much less likely to recover.

Stay safe and be well.
