There are some reports out there about “new” symptonms of coronavirus to be aware of. The fact is that ANY respiratory inflamatory process can cause loss of smell and taste because of swelling in the nose. Colds, Flu, allergies… So don;t panic if you develop these. The triad of symptomns to be worried about is fever, cough and breathing difficulties. If you don;t have all three, STAY HOME.

However, all coronavirus species, including the ones that have been around forever causing mild cold symptoms, are particularly toxic to the olfactory (smell) nerve endings in the nose. A small % of people who deveop this symtom may have it permanently. Nothing you can do about it. Don’t panic.

Say well.
