Your child has to wait for another child to die!

Andrew Chuma No Comments

I was going to post something else about mask quality but after hearing this interview, I was just so shocked and had to pass it along.

A Dallas, TX administrator said last week that there were no available pediatric ICU beds in the entire city.

“If your child is in a car wreck, if your child has a congenital defect or, more likely, if your child has covid and needs an ICU bed, your child will have to wait until another child dies”.

What a horrific thought. That we adults would act so irresponsibly by not getting vaccinated and behaving in an irresponsible way by not wearing masks that we would allow our children to die.

We really should not be too surprised after the almost insignificant changes to gun ownership laws which barely occurred after 20 kids were murdered in Sandy Hook in 2012. Token background checks and a few parks with memorial signs. How many more mass shootings have there been since then? More per capita than the next 10 countries combined.

Another sobering statistic, or at least it should be, is that Florida just reported the most new Covid cases of the entire epidemic. More than 150,000 new cases. Despite that, their politically motivated, ignorant governor continues to ban mask requirements for schools. 4 unvaccinated teachers in one school district have already died this school year, only a few weeks in.

Many hospitals all over the country are full and have no room. Makeshift facilities in parking lots are popping up all over the place.

If you have a car accident, a heart attack, an allergic reaction to a bee sting… your care will be delayed because of the lack of, not only beds, but the staff to care for you.

The burn out medical practitioners were experiencing long before Covid came on the scene, has been magnified dramatically. Same with nurses. Many early retirements and career changes, not to mention facilities essentially “stealing” each others’ employees with enticing financial incentives, have left many facilities understaffed.

If you’re pissed off when your local restaurant brings your meal late and cold because of the lack of servers and cooks, just imagine how you’ll feel if you can’t get to see a doctor when you are really sick!

It may be too little too late, but we can still save many people and put a dent in the damage by GETTING VACCINATED!

If you’ve noticed a little more anger in my posts recently, you’re right. I’m tired and pissed off at peoples’ selfishness. It’s not just a matter of lack of knowledge or understanding. I have conversations every day with people who have not gotten vaccinated and when I ask them why, most of the time they are not giving me any reasonable, rational answer. And when I try to alleviate their concerns or correct their misunderstandings, most of the time, they say that they understand and know.  “I know, I know. I’m still not sure”. What the F%^* is the problem. Just get the shot already and protect your kids, family and friends, not to mention yourself!

All you can do is just keep plowing ahead and do the best you can.

Stay safe and be well.

We’ve finally hit 50% vaccination. It’s NOT enough.

In the US, the fully vaccinated percentage has finally reached 50%. But this is still not enough and all you have to do is look at the numbers.

99.99% of the Covid-related deaths and over 98% of Covid admissions are in unvaccinated people. The vast majority of new Covid cases, almost 100% of ER visits, are in unvaccinated people. How much more convincing do we need?

In a previous post, I mentioned how the behavior of Delta is unusual and that in Britain, out of the blue, their numbers started to drop. Well, that was a blip and the numbers are back up again.

Britain, Israel and Iceland all have over 70% of their populations fully vaccinated. But despite that, all 3 are experiencing new outbreaks of the Delta variant. Rises in new cases are similar, if not more accelerated, than at the height of the pandemic last fall, and almost all of those new cases are in unvaccinated people. In addition, in all 3 countries, almost 100% of the hospital admissions and deaths are in unvaccinated people.

Last week saw the highest hospitalization rate in kids in the US since the start of the pandemic. They have no choice. They can’t get the vaccine. They are the victims of the irresponsible adults around them.

ICU beds are filled, mostly by Covid patients, or by patients whose other health conditions were neglected or untreated because of Covid and they are now suffering the dire consequences of those delays in care.

Surgeries are being delayed because of new Covid restrictions.

Patients are once again being triaged to outside, makeshift tent facilities.

Those selfish, unvaccinated people are causing other people to have their healthcare impaired and, in some cases, are causing their deaths.

The unvaccinated are causing others to die!

Simple as that.

If you have questions, ask someone who understands this disease and vaccination. Don’t listen to your crazy sister, aunt, coworker, television reporter or social media mouthpiece.

Do the right thing for yourself, but more importantly, for everyone else.

GET VACCINATED!!!

Stay safe and be well.
