Bisphenol Pale Ale: Should You Be Worried About the BPA in Your Beer Can? | BeerAdvocate

Andrew Chuma One comment

FYI

Although you would think that as interested and, I thought, informed I am about nutrition and lifestyle issues, this would be self evident, but you would be wrong. I didn’t even think about beer cans and BPA. ALL aluminum (and obviously plastic) cans are lined with BPA. The BPA-free cans are no better since they are line with BPS which is just as bad and possibly worse. We just don’t know. These plastic liners are endocrine disrupters and should be avoided.

The industry’s wholehearted embrace of cans comes with a lurking question: should we be worried about chemicals in the container’s epoxy lining?
