The Covid-19 culprit is us, not pangolins (Opinion) – CNN

Robert F. Breiman writes that preliminary indications are that pangolins served as an intermediate host for Covid-19, but if pangolins could talk, they would claim no responsibility for the outbreaks they have been associated with. The culprit is us.

FYI

Covid-19 (Sars-2), SARS-1, MERS, Swine Flu, Avian Flu, even the yearly flu, all originated from an abusive industrialized animal agricultural system which evolved to satisfy humans appetite for meat.

Stop eating meat and animal products and these pandemics will stop.

Not only would animal born infectious pandemics end but the pandemic of chronic disease will reverse. Think about the fact that 40% of Americans, including 20% of under 20 year olds, are obese, not just overweight. Almost 30% of Americans are diabetic or pre-diabetic. It’s a slow death rather than the fast death seen with Civid.

In cutting out animal products and eating more plants, climate change will also reverse to boot. Everyone wins.

Sorry to be a bummer but it is what it is.

MOTRIN AND COVID-19

MOTRIN AND COVID-19
Β
There is some information flying around out there that people who take Motrin (ibuprofen) are at greater risk of contracting coronavirus and have a harder time recovering if they get infected.
Everything I have read and heard thus far has not indicated that this is a big issue, unless of course you are abusing this, or any other non steroidal anti inflammatory drug (NSAID).
Β
All NSAIDs, including Motrin, aleve, ibuprofen… decrease inflammation but also suppress your immune system a little bit. An occasional dose is probably inconsequential but if you take it regularly for aches and pains, I would switch to acetaminophen (Tylenol) which does not have this effect. The more you suppress your immune system, the more the virus has a chance of taking hold rather than your immune system identifying it and destroying it.
Β
Tylenol also does not impact on your stomach and intestinal lining as much as NSAIDs do.
Β
Have a safe weekend and stay well.
