TEACHERS and NURSES DAY

There are many “front-line” workers. 

Today is Nationals Nurses Day and they certainly bear the brunt of the risk in caring for not only Covid patients, but all patients in all the hospitals, urgent care and emergency facilities, nursing homes, dialysis centers… They are true heroes.

Yesterday was National Teachers Day. Their lives and jobs have also been upended and there are countless teachers who have gone above and beyond to help educate our kids, especially with the added challenges of social isolation.

Both nurses and teachers deserve a lot more than recognition one day a year. Hopefully after all this settles down to whatever our “new normal” will be, we can be more appreciative on a daily basis of all those who help us live and grow in society.
